Fees for a Home Inspection are based on the amount of time it takes, not only to perform the home inspection, but the immense amount of time it takes analyzing the results of the inspection, researching code standards, organizing pictures, preparing the final report, and delivering it to our client.

City of Des Moines Contract Sales $200.00
The City of Des Moines requires a third party home inspection be
performed on any home sold on contract within the city limits. This
inspection report is hand written on the form provided by the city. It does not contain CSI's computer generated report, pictures, or presentation cover.
Single family or townhomes with full color report:
Based on sq. ft. of living space:
Homes with less than 1200 sq.ft. $250.00
Homes with 1200 - 2500 sq. ft. $300.00
Homes with 2500 - 5000 Sq. Ft. $350.00
Homes over 5000 Sq. Ft. Please call for quote
Re-inspection of a client's home for updated conditions: $125.00
Construction Inspections: $1295.00
The inspector will work closely with your contractors, and
sub-contractors to keep everyone updated on construction expectations.
This service will require the inspector to make approximately 15 to 20
trips to your homesight at various stages of the construction.
All pricing is within Polk County specific. Outside of Polk County may require additional cost for mileage. Square Footage estimates for inspection quotes, may be based on current figures on file at the local assessor's office, if accessible.
